3-DAY TOUR OF SICILY - GIARDINI NEXOS

1st Day	TAORMINA - GARDINI NAXOS In the morning we explore the town of Taormina situated on a rocky plateau on the slopes of the steeply dropping Monte Tauro, dominating the Ionian coast from Capo Sant'Andrea to Capo Taormina and visit of the theatre, the 2nd largest classical theatre in Sicily. Taormina has been a very popular tourist destination since the 19th century. It has popular beaches on the Ionian sea, which is remarkably warm and has a high salt content. Among others, Taormini is also popular for its sites such as The Teatro Greco, The Duomo (Cathedral), dating from the 13th century, Palazzo Corvaja (10th century) and the Baroque fountain (1635). Then we drive to our Hotel in Gardini Nexos where we will be staying for the last 2 nights. This place is renowned for their shops, discothèques, Karaoke bars, strolling musicians wearing traditional Sicilian costumes, live bands, theatrical productions, and impromptu dancing on the beaches at night Catania - Toarmina - 46min Taormina- Gardini Naxos - 20min
2nd Day	NOTO - SIRACUSA Start off with breakfast in the hotel. We will have a full day excursion, first stop in Noto, to discover the beautiful baroque in Sicily. Next we go to Siracusa, one of the most interesting archaeological sites on the island. We can have a Guided tour of the Archeological Park, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre, the Orecchio of Dionisio, la Grotta dei Cordari, Island of Ortigia, the most ancient nucleus of the city with its interesting dome. 3rd Day	CATANIA FREE DAY Start off with breakfast in the hotel and check out. We will drive down to the flea market in Catania and you will have a free day shopping. Giardini Naxos - Catania - 44min
